Celebrating “Galentine’s Day” at Hello Tallulah

Ah, Galentine’s Day. First introduced by the ingenious Leslie Knope from NBC’s Parks and Recreation, “Galentine’s Day” has made its way into pop culture as a holiday dedicated to, well, gals!

I got the opportunity to spend Galentine’s Day at vintage store Hello Tallulah, located at 1912 Fredricksburg Road, San Antonio, TX, 78201- Right next to the Woodlawn Theatre. I also brought my little sister, who had a blast looking through all of the gorgeous dresses, hats, and purses.

Don’t let the unassuming storefront fool you- inside is a magical dream world full of color and fashion! Hello Tallulah Vintage Boutique, established in 2017 by owner Kristina Uriegas, provides a multitude of items for every occasion. She has everything, from aprons to hats to scarves! Along with her own creations, Kristina displays earrings made by Katie Cowden.

Erika Guerrero from Rockabella Hair Lounge offered decade-inspired hairdos, while Frank Coronado, an independent makeup artist, turned customers into 50s dolls. Megan Rodriguez, owner of Sweet February Cupcakes, displayed adorable Cherry Pop-Tart cupcakes and decadent Double Chocolate cupcakes, both of which tasted AMAZING!

If you decide to check out Kristina at Hello Tallulah, you can be sure to receive a warm welcome from her puppy, Daisy. While the store has a strong, feminine aesthetic, everyone is sure to find something they’ll like! Hello Tallulah is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
